Programs
The members of Art de Triomphe are very pleased with their success, but are very aware that there are a number of frail seniors and persons with disabilities across Northumberland who have artistic ability that remains untapped. The artists and supporters in Art de Triomphe have developed an outreach program designed to bring Artistic Workshops to communities across Northumberland, encouraging those people whose lives have been diminished by age or disability to find renewed meaning in life through creative expression.
These programs will be interactive all-day sessions run by Art de Triomphe artists. Attendees will be identified through contact with local service agencies, churches, media announcements, care facilities, volunteer associations and service clubs. Everything will be provided to ensure those people attending have a fulfilling and positive experience where they tap into their creative ability and find that creative expression on any level is life enriching. Those people who wish to continue to develop artistically will be supported and encouraged by the members of Art de Triomphe in their quest. Our members come from all parts of the County, so fledgling artists will be able to count on local support backed up by the broader Art de Triomphe membership base.
Our plan is to offer this program across the County in the fall and winter. Identifying the program locations and times when the necessary funding is in place, we prefer not to raise expectations for a program that cannot be delivered. We have undertaken adequate preliminary work to determine that this perceived need does in fact exist and we have been strongly encouraged by the response from local supporters.
There will be no consultants hired for this program, the artistic and organizational expertise required is resident in the Art de Triomphe membership. Based on our preliminary investigations it appears that there will be no shortage of willing and capable assistance available from local community members.
Our objective is to improve the quality of life for frail seniors and persons with disabilities regardless of their age. We will do this by helping them explore their creative interest, thereby providing them with an invigorating new dimension to their lives that will have a very significant and measurable social impact on their quality of life. |
